Florence Nightingale Museum - IstanbulA part of the tower on the northwestern edge of historical Selimiye Barracks was designed as museum, which was turned into a Military Hospital during Crimean War and where English Nurse Florence Nightingale worked for some time.
The personal belongings, photographs of Florence Nightingale the lamp which she always had with her, her medallions and the bracelet which was a present to her from Sultan Abdulmecid are among the pieces on display in the museum.
