With its acoustic and architectural design and qualified technical equipment, and most prominent of all with its fulfilling monthly program, Babylon has become the most prestigious club since its inception in 1999. Babylon introduces diverse cultures to town and brings various kinds of music from all over the world. It occupies an exclusive place in the hearts of music lovers. Without limiting its cultural agenda solely to concerts, Babylon serves as a multipurpose performance center promoting other artistic disciplines, plays, modern dance, workshops and documentaries with a capacity of 400 spectators. Having established this distinctive quality, Babylon assumes the role of the initiator and motivator to urban culture. Babylon’ presence created a revival for the Asmalımescit and Tünel region and brought a dynamism to the neighbourhood. By bringing in a brand new mentality to Istanbul’s cultural and urban life, Babylon rendered Asmalımescit to be defined as Soho of Istanbul.
Designed as a multi-purpose performance center, Babylon can also be used as a theatre or cinema hall, performance space and gallery.
