Transfers

Shuttle buses run every 30 minutes from the airport's international and domestic terminals to the Turkish Airlines (THY) terminal in downtown Istanbul, at Cumhuriyet Caddesi, near the THY Taksim office. Buses depart for the airport from the same address. Allow at least 45 minutes for the bus ride. Plan to be at the airport two hours before your international flight because of the lengthy security and check-in procedures. The ride from the airport into town takes from 30 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic. Taxis charge about $15 to Taksim Square and $10 to Sultanahmet.
